Chronically Crafty
Chronically Crafty started as a simple idea: disabled and chronically ill people needed a casual, safe space to create together without judgment or pressure.
What began as unfunded grassroots gatherings in has grown into a community movement that's transformed how cultural institutions think about accessibility and inclusion. These workshops aren't just about making art—they're about building connection, celebrating our experiences, and proving that when you create genuinely welcoming spaces, magic happens. From intimate living room sessions to partnerships with John Curtin Gallery, Open Hands Creative, Rainbow Futures, and Glasgow Women’s Library, Chronically Crafty demonstrates that disability-led initiatives can reshape cultural participation. Each session is designed with flexibility at its core, honoring the reality that our energy and capacity fluctuate, while fostering the kind of community care that makes creativity possible.
